Fox News FIRES Those Who Discuss Iraq war!!!

I've been following the fake news Fox puts out for a long time.  They have many, many things to be horribly embarassed about.  But this is, perhaps, the worst one I've seen.

You may remember that Fox News, like many, many Republicans, like to pretend that they support the troops by putting a little yellow ribbon in awkward places.  So, yesterday, Montell Williams was a guest on "Fox and Friends", which is a poor attempt at a comedy show.

They tried, immediately, to drag Montell into "weighing in" on the death of Heath Ledger.  You might remember Fox as the people who made jokes about Heath's death, and saying it was funny, because he once played a gay character, so he deserved to die.

Montell immediately added some reality into the situation, and challenged Fox News (you remember...these are the chest-thumping, hyper-masculine war-lovers) as to why they don't pay attention to the troops that get killed in Iraq.

We all know, the real answer is that Fox News doesn't like to give coverage that isn't pro-Republican propaganda.

Anyway, here's the video where Montell shows exactly how small Fox News is being.

And what does Fox do?  They fire Montell Williams, whose talk show had been running for 17 years.

So, there's the message.  Speak the truth on Fox News, and you're sent packing.

It's now time to be mature...and laugh hysterically at 9iu11ani!!!

Yes, friends, it's true. Even though Fox News did *everything they could* to make Rudy 9iu11ani look like America's super hero..."America's Manly Mayor" couldn't get elected America's dog catcher. He's on his way out, just like the man the media described as "sexy" and "virile", Grandpa Fred Thompson.

The Republican race is now down to McCain, Romney and Huckabee. Yes, that's right 9iu11ani and Thompson supporters...your super-hero, ultra-conservative fools couldn't stand up to these three people that so many Republicans hate so much.

Yes, Republicans call him John McKennedy - and think he's a moron because he tries to find solutions and believes in global warming. And he beat 9iu11ani and Thompson.

Yes, Republicans hate Mitt Flop Romney because of his Mormon religion. (Full disclosure...not all Republicans hate based on religion...but enough to stop Mitt from winning the nomination). And he beat 9iu11ani and Thompson.

Yes, Republicans thought they'd love Huckabee, because of his hyper-religiousness, and his desire to isolate gays from society. But then, Huckabee talked about all the Christian values, not just the discriminatory ones...so two-thirds of the Republican party hated on him, too. And he still beat 9iu11ani and Thompson.

But, perhaps the best part of this story is Ron Paul. Now, for the RonPaulicans - I personally like him. However, the Republican party hated him, and laughed him off the stage every time they could.

Let's see how Ron Paul compared to the foolish 9iu11ani and Thompson:

RON PAUL vs FRED THOMPSON

IOWA: Thompson wins
WYOMING: Thompson wins
NEW HAMPSHIRE: Paul wins
MICHIGAN: Paul wins
NEVADA: Paul wins
SOUTH CAROLINA: Thompson wins

That's right 3 wins each. You all laughed Ron Paul off the stage every chance you got, and the best your super, sexy, virile candidate could do was tie him, before going home to take a nap.

RON PAUL vs RUDY 9IU11ANI

IOWA: Paul wins
WYOMING: TIE
NEW HAMPSHIRE: 9iu11ani wins
MICHIGAN: Paul wins
NEVADA: Paul wins
SOUTH CAROLINA: 9iu11ani wins
FLORIDA: 9iu11ani wins

That's right, again, 3 wins each. As ridiculous as you thought Ron Paul was, "America's super hero mayor" could only tie Ron Paul, before having to drop out to better focus his time and energy on making his career and millions of dollars off of the deaths of thousands of Americans lying dead in his own streets.

Republicans - you deserve the choice between McCain, Huckabee and Romney.

Have a *GREAT* Super Tuesday!

The Primary Republican Problem

You know, it's so cute to watch the Republicans try and spin the Democratic primary as "ensuring a Republican gets elected."  But, the state of Florida has a million Republicans desperately trying to figure out what to do next.  Who would have guessed they'd have such trouble?

They have two main problems:
- They know they'll lose in the fall, and they can't decide which Democrat they want to beat them
- They know they'll lose in the fall, and they can't decide which Republican they want to get beat

First, let's focus on the Democrats.  See, they hate Hillary Clinton *so much*, for no particular reason.  If you've talked to one of the rabid Hillary-haters in private, they literally seem dillusional.  I had several conversations where one Limbaugh-natic seriously told me she believed that Hillary would kill her if she was elected.  And she was serious.

So, their hatred for Hillary compels them to want Obama to win, right?

Wrong.  See, they know what I know.  And what Iowa knows,  And South Carolina.  Barack Obama will be a transformational President, creating an entire generation of new liberals.  He'll do for liberalism what Ronal Reagan did for conservatism.  It'll send conservatives out to the woodshed for a couple decades.

So then, they are back to Hillary.  But, they know, despite her divisive politics, this is likely the year she could win.  And we would have our first Madame President.

And their Republican skin starts to itch.

That is the first part of their dilemma.  Do they hate Hillary Clinton enough to throw their entire conservative movement on a sword for twenty years?

We don't know yet.

But they're just as torn about who to nominate.

They went through some interesting phases.  The 9ui11ani phase.  The McCain phase.  The Romney phase.  The Thompson phase.  The Huckabee phase.  We went through another McCain phase.  Now, all of those conservative talk radio hosts who quietly bashed Romney for his religion now see themselves trying to un-hatrify their audience.  (Good luck)

See, Republicans know in their head that John McCain is the only one with a chance to win.  (Let's all take a moment to chuckle at the "Fred Heads")  He's the only one.

But, he's "John McKennedy", or a "RINO"...otherwise known as a decent, sincere, open, principled politician.  No wonder the Limbaugh-natics hate him so much.

They had an affair with Huckabee for a little while.  He was all religious.  He hated the gays.  He would be mean to single moms.  Or so they thought.  Then, Huckabee made the cardinal sin of acting like immigrants are the children of god, and talking about Christian values that *aren't* all about discrimination.  A Christian leader that talks about poverty?  Not in the Republican party!

So now, they're back where they started.  Mitt-Flopping Romney.  Who was for abortion, before he was against it.  He was for amnesty, before he was against it.  He was against guns, before he was for them.  He was against the surge, before he was against it, before he was against it.  He didn't raise taxes, but his citizens paid a billion dollars more to the government.

Yes, Republicans have quite the issue.

Basically, they're screwed every way to Sunday.

Enjoy Florida's primary!!!

Obama Wins 55%!!! YES WE CAN!!!

The news is in, and everyone has had time to settle it. Obama didn't just win in South Carolina, as expected.

There are four important pieces to note:
1 - He more than doubled Hillary Clinton's vote.
2 - John Edwards was far, far behind.
3 - Obama's victory was not fueled solely by black voters.
4 - Democratic turnout increased from 2004 by nearly 45%
5 - More people voted Democratic than Republican. In South Carolina.

Here is what each of these mean:

1 - He more than doubled Hillary's vote. This was huge. A huge, huge, huge win. Hillary and Bill Clinton resorted to cheap, dirty politics after Iowa. They got a sympathy vote in New Hampshire - and won Nevada by using race as a wedge issue. Granted, they weren't nearly as disgraceful, tasteless and unconsciounable as a Republican campaign's use of race...but they played Latinos against African Americans to get a cheap win. It all backfired in South Carolina. In a three-way race, one can best hope for a plurality. Obama got a clear majority. Iowa was no fluke. Yes, we can.

2 - John Edwards was far, far behind. This marked the end of Edwards being able to make a plausible argument that he could be President. He can't. I don't think he needs to run out and leave the race. This is now a delegate race, and dropping out now would not help him in the least. The delegates that he's racking up now may very well make him the next Attorney General. And thank god for that. If you thought we needed a new President, go do a google search for the shit that has come out of the Justice Department. :)

3 - Obama's victory was not fueled just by African Americans. The biggest loser here is the Republicans who have *always* run with racist tactics. Democratic voters didn't buy into that crap. While there were difference along lines of race and gender (as would be expected in a race that comes down to *personalities* and who you can best relate to) - Democrats didn't vote *for* someone because of their race and gender. The only people who would think that are the Republicans who are determined that, in the fall, they are going to vote *against* someone because of their race or gender.

4 - Democratic turn out increased by 45%. What does that mean? We're committed. Our debate is about which of these three (two?) great candidates would be best suited to win the Presidency. Unfortunately, the other side is debating about which of their candidates is least horrible to them. It's cute to watch them gag over their own votes. :)

5 - More people voted Democratic than Republican. In South Carolina. Do not underestimate this. It's happened everywhere so far (except Michigan, where there was no actual Democratic race) - people are breaking to the Democratic party in record numbers. Which makes the childish fighting on the Republican side even more comical. South Carolina is as red as red can be. And there's no question that it will be red in the general election. Which makes it even more impressive that more people in South Carolina wanted to vote for a Democrat than a Republican.

Good luck in November, my Republican friends! You have two choices:

Nominate John McKenned...er...McCain/Feingold and watch his amnesty program become law....

Or, just throw in the towel.

We'll take your towel. :)
